• Research private and public golf courses to determine costs, available dates, facilities, etc.
• Determine a precise “per guest” budget which includes green fees, cart fees, practice balls, tee prizes, gift awards, food and beverage, contests etc.
• Make all the golf course arrangements including tee times, cart reservations, registration procedures, practice balls, contest set up, signage, banquet needs, etc.
• Coordinate and deliver all tee prizes, apparel, gifts and any trophies or awards to be presented.
• Arrange for all food and beverage to be served before, during and after the event.
• Determine the most appropriate tournament format (stroke play, scramble, best ball, etc).
• Coordinate communications with every guest playing in the event including invitations, entry forms, dress code requirements (e.g. golf shoe policy), tournament format, rules of play, directions to the course, and special instructions, etc.
• Organize and conduct the awards presentation ceremony immediately following the event.
• Assist with coordinating “thank you” letters to your guests and other participants following the event.
• Assist in evaluating the results of the event (review feedback and dollar return on investment).
